Trevor Young-Hyman is a doctoral candidate in Political Science with a Masters in International Politics from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. He received his undergraduate degree in International Business and French from Washington University in St. Louis. Before moving to Madison, Trevor worked as a Research Associate at Mount Auburn Associates, an economic development consulting firm in Boston. In 2006, he conducted research on regional economic development as a Fulbright Scholar in Turkey. Trevor’s research interests are broadly situated in the inter-disciplinary field of Comparative Political Economy, with focuses on International Institutions, Industrial Policy, Development, and Democratization. During the 2008-09 academic year, Trevor held a Project Assistantship at the Center on Wisconsin Strategy. He will spend the summer as an intern in the Local Economic Development Unit of the International Labor Organization, supporting economic development capacity-building initiatives in industrializing countries.
