
Anju Reejhsinghani is a historian by training who specializes in modern Cuba and U.S.-Cuba relations, the African and Asian diasporas in the Americas, and race, gender, and transnational sport. Prior to joining IRIS, Dr. Reejhsinghani was a tenured associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she established one of the UW System’s first for-credit study abroad programs to Cuba. As IRIS NRC Associate Director, she provides leadership and seeks to develop innovative programming, deepen cross-campus partnerships, promote greater inclusivity, and broaden the impact of international and regional studies in keeping with the Wisconsin Idea.
