Sultan Mohammed Zakaria Mazumder

Sultan Mohammed Zakaria Mazumder is a PhD student in the Department of Educational Policy Studies (EPS) with a concentration in comparative and international education. His research interest lies in civic education, migration, and learning evaluation. Prior to joining the EPS, Zakaria worked as South Asia Regional Researcher for Amnesty International. Previously, he was an Affiliate Researcher with the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research, University of Amsterdam. He was also a senior research associate and an assistant professor at BRAC University. Zakaria holds an MA from Brandeis University. Zakaria is currently also serving as Country Specialist for Pakistan and Bangladesh for Amnesty International USA.
