Summary of Madison Activities
Pulitzer Center grantee Mariana Palau visited UW-Madison in Spring 2020 to discuss her reporting in Colombia. Mariana’s presentation, “Colombia After the Conflict,” explored the long term success of the Colombian Peace Deal with over 30 students. Mariana’s Biography
Mariana Palau is a Colombian American multimedia journalist based in Bogota. She writes for The Economist and has been published in Al Jazeera and The Village Voice. From Colombia, she has covered subjects like the 2018 congressional and presidential elections, as well as the Colombian government’s strategies against cocaine production. Mariana is a graduate of Columbia University’s Journalism School.
