Credentials: Bolivia
Address:
2010 SKJ Fellow
Yeri Lopez is a doctoral candidate of Latin American History, with a previous master’s in International Public Affairs from the La Follette School of Public Affairs. A former Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia, Yeri’s academic interests are in contemporary South American indigenous movements, particularly the Bolivian Aymara. His work employs the concepts of analogous migrant experience in recontextualizing and undermining the subject-object divisions of intercultural research. Yeri will work alongside the Museo Nacional de Etnografía y Folklore (MUSEF) and Taller de Historia Oral Andina (THOA) in La Paz, Bolivia on projects surrounding the compiling, archiving and digitizing of materials related to the Aymara indigenous movement.
