2005 SKJ Fellow

Eunsook Jung is a graduate student in the Department of Political Science who studies the development of social policies in the process of democratization in Indonesia. She started to study about Indonesia in 1997, while completing her master’s thesis on women’s movements in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Afterward, she worked as a program officer for a regional non-governmental organization dealing with women workers in Asia. This experience inspired her to pursue doctoral studies regarding social policies in developing countries. The Scott Kloeck-Jenson award will help support Eunsook’s internship with the International Labor Organization, providing her firsthand experience working on social policy issues with practitioners in Indonesia.
