Noor Hamwy

Noor Hamwy is a PhD student in political science with a focus on contentious politics, nationalism, ethnic politics, and religion. She is interested in conducting a meta-comparative study of the cultural, national, and religious experiences of minority communities in the MENA/SWANA region. The FLAS fellowship supporting Noor’s language learning will enable her to conduct preliminary archival research in both Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic.
