Melinda Adams is a graduate student in Political Science. She is just beginning her dissertation research on women’s movements in Africa. To identify the key issues of concern for women in Africa, she will take up her internship fellowship this summer in Nigeria, working with Women Living Under Muslim Laws and under the supervision of Ayesha Imam. Ms. Imam has worked closely with our African Studies Program and our Women’s Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has offered to provide good guidance for Ms. Adams while she is conducting her research. Ms. Adams will continue her internship working with women’s organizations in Cameroon, which she will identify during her internship at Women Living Under Muslim Laws.
