Candace Fujikane is Professor of English at the University of Hawaiʻi and an activist in struggles for an independent and sustainable Hawai’i. Her acclaimed book Mapping Abundance for a Planetary Future (2021) explores how Indigenous ancestral knowledges are now providing a foundation for movements against climate change, one based on mapping economies of abundance as opposed to capitalist economies of scarcity.
Join us and our co-sponsor, UW- Madison’s American Indian Studies program, for a conversation with Professor Fujikane about her work and involvement with indigenous struggles led by Dr. Jen Rose Smith (UW-Madison). The first 25 people to register will receive a free copy of her book!
