Join the Madison Committee on Foreign Relations on November 13th for a special presentation by Dr. Matthew Kavanagh titled, “Global Public Health Leadership: Past, Present, and Future”.
Dr. Kavanagh is a political scientist whose work bridges law, political economy, and global health governance. He directs Georgetown University’s Center for Global Health Policy & Politics, and has held leadership roles in academia, the United Nations, and NGOs in the U.S. and Southern Africa, and has presented before the G20, UN bodies, and U.S. Congress. His insights on the politics of pandemics have been featured in outlets including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, BBC, and Science.
- The venue for this in-person event will be Embassy Suites by Hilton, Madison Downtown, 231 S Pinckney St, Madison, WI 53703, in the Hamilton Ballroom.
- Reception with appetizers and cash bar 5:30 – 6:00, presentation with Q&A 6:00 – 7:30.
