The UNA Dane County Chapter’s Distinguished Lecture Series will kick off this Tuesday, September 12th at 7PM, with Future Directions for Further Global Health Integration. Join Dr. Katherine Collins of the UW-School of Nursing as she details her time working abroad in places such as Haiti, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Malawi, and St. Kitts and Nevis, and how those experiences contribute to her current position as the School of Nursing’s Global Health Coordinator.
Katherine Collins, MS, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, FNP-BC received her DNP from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program and her MS in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has prior nursing experience in inpatient, specialty and family practice settings and currently practices in internal/family medicine. Her prior research includes examining quality of life in cancer patients along with improving domestic violence screening and follow-up in primary care. Her current interests include global and planetary health and trauma.
