The Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) application for the summer 2025 and academic year 2025-2026 awards is now open!
Looking for ways to fund your language study? Stop by 206 Ingraham Hall for a hands-on application workshop! These workshops will go over application tips, and FLAS advisors will be on hand to assist you with your applications and answer your questions.
FLAS fellowships are funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by UW-Madison’s National Resource Centers to assist students in acquiring foreign language and either area or international studies competencies. FLAS awards are only available for specific languages, and are contingent on federal funding. More information on eligibility for FLAS awards is available here.
The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Friday, February 14, 2025.
