The 79th Anniversary Celebration of the United Nations is taking place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, Madison, Wisconsin – don’t miss it! This year’s theme is “The UN Needs US and WE Need the UN – The World is on the Move.”
The keynote speaker will be Ms. Alesia Morris, the Great Lakes Regional Representative and Advocacy Chair for the Detroit Chapter. Ms. Morris will share insights from the 68th UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi and discuss critical topics such as human trafficking and migration.
The event will also feature a panel discussion on “Mobility Migration: Legally and Illegally as the World is on the Move,” delving deeper into these pressing issues.
This important celebration is supporting through ticket sales that include attendance and lunch. Prices are $50 for general admission, and $20 for students. Your participation will help UNA Dane County continue its vital mission within the Madison community!
