The Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellowship is open to undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students in any discipline currently enrolled at UW-Madison, and provides up to $5,000 in funding for students to pursue an international reporting project. The reporting project is generally undertaken in the summer with an expectation that fellows spend at least two weeks in their research location.
Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellows at UW-Madison pursue independent journalism projects that cover a wide range of issues in countries around the world, including climate change, migration and refugees, global health, race and identity, and human rights. Reporting Fellows benefit from Pulitzer Center mentorship, networking opportunities, and journalism resources. Most importantly, they become part of a vibrant community. Visit the Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellows page to read more.
For the 2025 reporting fellowship, IRIS NRC will give priority consideration to proposals that intersect with Wisconsin RISE Initiatives, specifically:
- Artificial Intelligence
