The Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS) at University of Wisconsin-Madison is excited to offer a Graduate Student Summer Fieldwork Award for Summer 2023!

- The purpose of these $3,000 awards is to support graduate students at UW-Madison planning to conduct 6 or more weeks of summer fieldwork outside of the United States. Applicants pursuing international field research in the global south on topics related to art, language, or culture can also apply for an additional $1,000 supplemental grant awarded in conjunction with the Black Languages Arts and Culture Foundation (BLAC Foundation). Any continuing graduate student at UW-Madison may apply for these awards. See the website for complete details!
