Anna M. Gade

Professor Anna M. Gade is the Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of Environmental Studies and Associate Dean for Research & Education in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Her recent book, Muslim Environmentalisms: Religious and Social Foundations (Columbia University Press, 2019) shows how diverse Muslim communities and schools of thought have addressed ecological questions for the sake of this world and the world to come.
